Our educational animated video for ABC News for Earth Day presents viewers
with the history of our planet and the ways humanity has contributed to
global warming over the centuries. A quick educational recap is accompanied
by a timeline indicating the periods to track rapid environmental changes.

The story revolves around the planet Earth as the main character.
To emphasize this point, we set ourselves the challenge of basing the entire
animation largely on central compositions with the sphere in the middle.
All elements, transitions, and shifts were designed to orbit around
a central element, most often the Earth, slowly rotating on its axis.

Part of each educational challenge is to recreate historical figures and events accurately while conducting thorough research on the video topics. Similar to our other documentary videos, references played a crucial role in making the visuals more grounded and factual.

A documentary approach and feel, resembling old footage, was achieved by using
graphic elements such as grainy textures and ones that resemble worn-out paper.
The use of a muted color palette and vintage hues also underscores our intention.

The Earth was created in 3D with Blender, while textures and
explosions were done with traditional animation. For cut-out animations,
Photoshop, After Effects, and MOHO were used.
